Whom does Hillary think she's fooling? | Dt Opinion | Opinion | Telegraph

No, what is so lowering about Hillary and her rush for power is the merciless, unapologetic, chisel-eyed way she has pursued her presidential ambitions over the past few years, and her blatant attempt to make over her naturally acrid persona into something that American voters might find palatable.

Book reveals 2004 dissonance between Edwards, Kerry

John Kerry said he couldn't get his vice presidential running mate, John Edwards, to go after President Bush during the 2004 campaign. Edwards said Kerry wouldn't let him take the wraps off.

Both accounts come from Terry McAuliffe, the former Democratic National Committee chairman, who talks about the 2004 presidential ca

mpaign in his new book, "What a Party." McAuliffe recounts having dinner with Edwards after the 2004 election. He notes that Kerry sent Edwards to a lot of small markets, leading to criticism that Edwards was not visible enough.

Liberal group jeers Hillary Clinton

Kerry's speech featured some of his strongest comments to date, including a call to "end a war in Iraq that weakens the nation each and every day it goes on."

The Massachusetts senator is offering an amendment to withdraw troops from Iraq by the end of this year.

While Clinton received loud cheers for her swipes at the Bush administration, many in the crowd jeered her stance on the Iraq war. She voted for the war but has since harshly criticized the Bush administration's handling of the conflict.

To speak out against Alito, Kerry cuts trip

Republicans mocked Kerry's role in extending the debate. The filibuster strategy ''was apparently hatched in Davos, Switzerland, where Sen. Kerry now is with those masters of the universe that are out there trying to figure our world economy out,'' Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., said in a Senate speech, even though by then Kerry was back in Washington. White House press secretary Scott McClellan said, ``Even for a senator, it takes some pretty serious yodeling to call for a filibuster from a five-star ski resort in the Swiss Alps.''

John Kerry Touts Al Qaida Successes

In quotes sure to bring delight to Osama bin Laden and his followers, Sen. John Kerry said Sunday that the reason the U.S. homeland hasn't been attacked by al Qaida since 9/11 is because the terror group is having so much success against U.S. forces in Iraq.

"Many people surmise that one of the reasons we haven't been attacked here, is because they are being so successful at doing what they need to do to attack us in Iraq and elsewhere," the failed presidential candidate told ABC's "This Week."

WorldNetDaily: Kerry: 'U.S. soldiers terrorize kids'

WASHINGTON %u2013 In accusations about American troops reminiscent of what the young John Kerry said to the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in 1971, the senator and 2004 Democratic presidential nominee told CBS "Face the Nation" host Bob Schieffer there was no reason for U.S. soldiers to continue "terrorizing" Iraqi children.

Secondly, when he gets these (imaginary) calls from generals, (or that Teresa tells him he does), like he did from all the World leaders before his lost election he might bother to check call display. The area codes are from France and Quebec.
